The "Year of Happy"

Writer's picture: Amy BormanAmy Borman

What a beautiful and empowering resolution for this year. I am focusing on balance, making time for myself to continue to nurture relationships and passions. Sometimes we can forget to include our own well-being in our intentions, now is the time to prioritize ourselves alongside our loved ones. This is a perfect reminder that self-care is key to giving your best to others.

Self-care is not a luxury; it's a necessity for being our best selves. When we prioritize our own well-being- physically, mentally and emotionally - we create the space needed to show up fully for others. By taking care of ourselves first, we refill our own cups, so we can pour into the lives of those around us with energy, love and intention. This always makes me think of being on an airplane where they urge you to put your own mask on in case of emergency and then others.

Remember you can't give your best if you're running on empty. Prioritize yourself so you have the space to truly show up for the people who need you most. When you take care of you, you're not only enhancing your own life- you're also enriching the lives of everyone around you.

She who laughs last, laughs the longest.
She who laughs last, laughs the longest.
